What Phonestar does

Your German number in the app, a phone system for teams and a voice agent that answers. Here is everything in detail.

A small team talking in an office, one of them on the phone with a smartphone

Extensions and users

Everyone on the team gets an extension with its own short number and makes calls with it in the app. In the portal you decide who has which extension, number and role.

One user in Start, four in Business, in Business each further one €19.00 a month.

Groups

Several extensions ring together under one short number: all at once, one after another or building up. Every member switches themselves on and off in the app.

Included in the Business plan.

Texts and TANs

Receive and reply to texts in the app, with your German number as sender; bank TANs arrive reliably. A data connection is enough; you do not need a German SIM card.

Reply with your German number once a sender number is assigned to your extension.

The voice agent

It picks up when nobody else can — and afterwards you read what the call was about.

  1. A call comes in

When nobody is free, the voice agent answers.

  2. Conversation

It asks what the call is about and notes everything.

  3. Report

Summary and transcript arrive by email and are in the portal.

The voice agent greets callers with a note that it is an AI, handles the call and sends you a transcript and summary. You set greeting, voice and transfer in the portal.

Business includes one voice agent with 100 minutes per month; each further one costs €49.00. It is not available on Start.

Listen for yourself

All three voices read the same text — exactly as your callers would hear it.

  • Ramona Warm and friendly — for reception and appointments
  • Vito Matter-of-fact and professional — for sales and support
  • René Natural and calm — pleasant on longer calls

„Welcome to Phonestar. For sales, please press one; for customer service, press two. We will connect you to the next available colleague."

Fax arrives as email

A fax to your fax number lands in your inbox as a PDF and stays in the portal for 90 days. Bookable in both plans; receiving faxes, not sending.

Call list and customer portal

In the customer portal you see every call with duration and price, set a monthly cost limit and download the itemised bill as CSV. Numbers, extensions, invoices and eSIMs are managed in the same place.

One login for account, phone system and eSIMs.

The difference

What a parked prepaid card and roaming cannot do.

Your number stays

  • The number belongs to your contract, not to top-ups or a SIM card.
  • You bring your existing number free of charge, landline or mobile.
  • Landline numbers usually take two to four weeks from the signed form; for mobile numbers we file one application per number.
  • One German mobile number is included in every plan; each further number costs €2.99 a month.
  • Local landline numbers require a location in that area and proof of address; numbers in 45 further countries are set up by support.

Abroad without roaming

  • Calls run encrypted over Wi-Fi or your local data plan.
  • People see your German number; anyone calling you from Germany pays for a domestic call.
  • Texts and TANs arrive in the app, and you reply to texts with your German number as sender.
  • No location check and no time limit abroad, even after years.
  • Cancel monthly, no setup fee, no hardware.

What it is built for

Four situations where a phone system in the app makes the difference.

  • A tradesman on the phone with a smartphone, making notes on a clipboard

    Trades and crafts

No landline rings on a roof. Calls reach the phone you carry anyway — showing your company number.

  • A woman at a studio reception desk smiling at a customer

    Medical practice

The voice agent greets callers, puts them through to reception or takes a message when nobody is free. After closing time the office hours take over.

  • A man on the phone while three colleagues discuss something at a laptop

    Law firm

One direct-dial number per lawyer, a group for the front desk and an announcement that fits the firm.

  • A woman on the phone in her kitchen, an open laptop in front of her

    Distributed team

Four time zones, one set of German office hours. Routing follows Germany, not where somebody happens to be.
